2nd xi re-arranged fixture. The game at Liverpool Road against Highfield 2 has been moved to Sunday 21st May instead of Saturday July 22nd when our ground will be used as a camp site for the Caravan Club attending the Open at Birkdale and Norman will be organizing knobbly knees contests. Hi de Hi.

From Saturday 8th April, every Saturday at 9.00pm we will be playing “Find the Joker” for big cash prizes.

It’s a simple concept that you may have seen at Fleetwood Hesketh or the Rugby Club where during the week, and especially on the Saturday
raffle tickets are sold at £1 each. One winner is drawn on the Saturday night and they get to choose one of 53 playing cards that are face down in a cabinet. If they find the joker they win £50, if they don’t then the remaining 52 cards get locked in the cabinet and the following week you are playing for £50 plus half the previous weeks take. It is never very long before the prize fund is over £500 with a lesser number of cards to choose from. Once the joker is won the game just starts again. If the winning ticket holder is not in the club on the Saturday night then a committee member chooses the card for them. “Losing” winners get a bottle of wine.
